Rocket Fabrication Tool
This custom control system helps fabricate the upper stage nose cone. The tool goes up and down and can rotate/spin to any desired position. This rotation and movement provides operators access to the part from any angle.
- Used to assemble and inspect rocket upper stage dome assembly.
- Key features include 5 axes of synchronized motion to lift, rotate, and spin the upper stage dome assembly; simple pendant control; lift and rotate software interlocks to prevent collision with the factory floor.
