Mechanical Engineer



Control Technology is searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support our aerospace equipment and tooling design and build activities. We will provide competitive salaries and benefits, and, challenging and interesting assignments to the selected candidate.



General Requirements



• Drug free, personable, punctual, dependable, and presentable.

• College graduate with a BSME degree and 5 or more years experience.

• Experienced at conceiving, designing, analyzing, documenting, and testing sophisticated electro-mechanical systems for aerospace equipment and tooling applications.



Additional Requirements



• Quality workmanship, error free work, and attention to detail are paramount.

• Must work well with other engineers and technicians on multi-disciplined technical teams.

• Must communicate well, verbally and in writing, with management, customers, suppliers, and co-workers.

• Must be proficient with MS Office and MS Project software as a minimum.

• Must be proficient with Catia or Solid Works, and AutoCAD as a minimum.

• Experience with stress analysis tools such as Nastran is a plus.

• Experience or interest in control systems and mechatronics is a plus.

• PE credential is a plus.

• Must be able to develop schedules and budgets for assigned projects.

• Must be able to perform detailed technical work and keep projects on budget and on schedule.

• Must be able to develop system design concepts and assist with development of proposals that include conceptual designs and descriptions, bills of materials, and proposal pricing.



Typical Assignments and Projects



• Design, fabrication, and testing of automated equipment and tooling such as winches, drive wheel systems, lifting or jacking systems, part forming presses, part testing and measuring equipment, robotic work cells, and material handling equipment.
